Benazir Bhutto, daughter of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. She served twice as the prime minister of pakistan and was the first woman in the whole muslim world, elected as prime minister. She was assassinated on 27th December, 2007 while returning from her election campaign at Liaqat Baagh, Rawalpindi.
Zulfikar’s wife, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, took over the party after his death, but soon ceded control to her daughter. She has stayed out of the limelight in recent years due to a battle with Alzheimer’s (Muzammil Pasha/Reuters)
